About The Position
The plastic surgery practice is seeking a skilled, personable, and motivated part-time Licensed Aesthetician for its Bala Cynwyd office. The Aesthetician will provide customized facials and other aesthetic skin treatments, operate laser and energy-based devices within the scope of licensure, training, and practice protocols, and help patients achieve optimal aesthetic outcomes. The role includes educating patients on skincare before and after surgical and nonsurgical procedures, offering physician-directed post-procedure skincare guidance, and recommending medical-grade products and individualized regimens to support healing, skin health, and long-term results. The Aesthetician will assess skin type and condition, collaborate with plastic surgeons and clinical staff, maintain accurate treatment records, follow infection-control and equipment protocols, and provide a compassionate, professional patient experience.
Requirements
- Licensed Aesthetician.
- Experience with aesthetic laser treatments, customized facials, and medical-grade skincare.
- Strong understanding of skin health and post-procedure skincare protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform customized facials and other aesthetic skin treatments based on individual patient needs.
- Operate aesthetic laser and energy-based devices within the scope of licensure, training, and practice protocols.
- Educate patients on appropriate skincare routines before and after plastic surgery and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures.
- Provide physician-directed guidance on post-procedure skincare, including cleansing, moisturizing, sun protection, and product use.
- Recommend medical-grade skincare products and develop individualized skincare regimens.
- Assess skin type and condition to help determine appropriate treatments and skincare recommendations.
- Collaborate with plastic surgeons and clinical staff to support patient care and optimal aesthetic outcomes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records and document patient skincare recommendations.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and equipment protocols.
- Maintain knowledge of current aesthetic treatments, skincare products, laser technologies, and industry trends.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience through professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
