Aerospace Technician, Evaluator

About The Position

Troubleshoots, repairs, and services aircraft components, including diagnosing malfunctions and performing maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, adjustment, certification, and testing. Work is performed in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. The role also includes documenting work, maintaining awareness of airworthiness concerns, and developing job knowledge through on-the-job training with higher-grade Mechanics.

Requirements

Read, write, and understand English fluently.
Ability to learn, understand, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in an MRO environment.

Responsibilities

Follow directions and instructions, and comply with company policies and procedures.
Work with Internal Customer Interfaces as defined by the assigned process.
Process forms and document work using the employee’s endorsement in accordance with the Quality Management System.
Notify the immediate supervisor of suspected un-airworthy conditions observed while performing duties.
Acquire and maintain hand tools, if necessary, to complete assigned work.
Clean, disassemble, and identify components with normal supervision.
Use blueprints, technical manuals, and planning documents with normal supervision.
Work with higher-grade Mechanics to develop job knowledge through on-the-job training with normal supervision.
Clean the work area when required, with minimal supervision.
Accomplish basic repairs with normal supervision.
Use computer processes involved in daily operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
