About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Design & Installation Engineer. In this role, you may design the installation of aircraft Mechanical Systems including but not limited to Hydraulics and Pneumatics Subsystems routing, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), fuel line routing, Escape System Subcomponent, etc. You will conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives optimizing form, fit, and function of the mechanical systems installations. You will also define, develop, and finalize mechanical layouts and systems interfaces, create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies and installations, and design the installation of aircraft Equipment and Crew Station hardware of Line Replacement Units (LRUs), Control Panels, other cockpit systems (displays, radios, etc) and their supporting hardware. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • Experience with metallic design
  • Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout
