About The Position

North Wind is seeking an Aero/Thermal Engineering Intern to support the analysis, design, and evaluation of aerodynamic, fluid dynamic, and thermodynamic systems used in wind tunnel and hypersonic ground test facilities. Working alongside experienced engineers, the intern will gain exposure to fluid flow analysis, heat transfer, engineering calculations, test facility design, and system validation. The role supports hypersonic technologies through research, system development, and flight testing.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Aerodynamics, Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Heat Transfer, or a related technical discipline.
  • Coursework or project experience involving fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or aerodynamics.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical data, perform engineering calculations, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
