About The Position

At MasTec Communications Group, Aerial Linemen support overhead construction and repair of RF and fiber service. The role involves installing, relocating, and maintaining aerial plants, working safely and to a high standard of quality, and troubleshooting field problems. Linemen work with a team and use the equipment required for aerial work, including bucket trucks and pole-climbing equipment.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of equipment needed for aerial work.
• Comfort working in a bucket truck and climbing poles.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for driving purposes.
• Applicants are subject to an MVR review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• CDL preferred.
• Related MOS codes: 2847, B05A, 3D157, 002599, 5699, 12P, and 12Q.

Responsibilities

• Support overhead construction and repair of RF and fiber service.
• Climb poles or use a bucket truck to install, relocate, and maintain aerial plants.
• Read and understand schematics and construction prints.
• Troubleshoot problems in the field.
