About The Position

RLM Underground is hiring an experienced Aerial Lineman to support telecom construction work across Kentucky. This is not a trainee role; the company is seeking someone with a full aerial skillset who can work independently, safely, and efficiently in the field. The position involves building, maintaining, and repairing aerial fiber and coax plant, along with completing field documentation and coordinating with supervisors and ground crews. The role requires travel to job sites across Kentucky. RLM Underground provides telecom construction services across multiple states and emphasizes completing work correctly the first time. Requirements

• Solid experience as a telecom aerial lineman; the role is not for new graduates or trainees.
• Full competency with climbing, rigging, lashing, and aerial construction.
• Ability to work solo and make sound field decisions.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and utility right-of-way rules.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to job sites across Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and repair aerial fiber and coax plant.
• Perform pole transfers, strand work, lashing, and equipment installations.
• Set anchors, down guys, and supporting hardware.
• Read and follow prints, permits, and customer specifications.
• Operate bucket trucks and climb poles.
• Complete daily documentation, safety checks, and job reporting.
• Work independently while coordinating with supervisors and ground crews.
