Artsy and Artnet•New York, NY
•$80,000 - $120,000•Hybrid

About The Position

We are seeking an Advertising & Partnerships Lead to expand strategic partnerships within the global art ecosystem. This role requires an individual with deep art world connections and the ability to immediately establish relationships with senior decision-makers in galleries, art fairs, museums, and related businesses. The position is revenue-generating, with performance targets focused on advertising, data product growth, and subscriptions. This role is part of the Artsy and Artnet Expansion team, responsible for increasing revenue across both brands by nurturing existing partner relationships and identifying new opportunities. The Lead will sell and scale advertising offerings to art businesses and cross-sell products across both Artsy and Artnet's partner bases. This role offers the chance to redefine strategies and shape how the brands are presented to partners and cultural institutions globally.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in advertising sales, digital media partnerships, or sponsorship sales, ideally within the art, luxury, culture, or lifestyle sectors.
  • An established network within the contemporary art world and the ability to immediately engage senior decision-makers across leading galleries, museums, fairs, and related institutions.
  • Highly relationship-oriented but also comfortable operating in a metrics-driven environment with clear pipeline and revenue accountability.
  • Understanding of how brand storytelling, audience engagement, and visual identity contribute to successful advertising partnerships.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and excited by the opportunity to help build and shape a growing business function.
  • Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence across both creative and commercial stakeholders.
  • Experience using Salesforce and sales analytics tools to manage pipeline health and performance reporting.
  • Currently authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • This role will be based in New York City, with 3+ days/week in-office.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer highly structured environments with established playbooks rather than building processes and partnerships from the ground up.
  • Uncomfortable balancing relationship-driven sales with increasing accountability around metrics, pipeline management, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow partnerships with galleries, museums, art fairs, and art-adjacent businesses across advertising and our portfolio of commercial products.
  • Leverage your existing network within the art world to create immediate commercial opportunities and accelerate partnership growth.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation, closing, and renewal.
  • Develop strategic, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders across the art ecosystem.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across our product suite as the business evolves—from advertising and intelligence tools to entirely new offerings in development.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Flexible time off
  • Comprehensive healthcare & benefit options, including: medical, dental, parental leave, short- and long-term disability, Employee Assistance Program featuring free mental health support, 401k, commuter benefits, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), financial wellness support & resources, and more
  • Professional development, including: mentoring, lunch & learns, regular training, 1:1 management, and an open feedback culture
  • Engaging opportunities and internal programming globally, to foster new relationships and build upon our collaborative community. Including: happy hours, holiday parties, global "All Hands" meetings, "Artsy Salon" (a yearly exhibition of our team's creativity), attendance to art world events, and more
