About The Position

ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is seeking a licensed or certified Paramedic to work as an Advanced Surgical Assistant under the direction of its doctors and surgeons. The role supports dentists and/or oral surgeons in tasks related to patient care, including preoperative and postoperative care. The assistant performs a variety of duties based on the needs of the practice and helps create a safe, comfortable experience for patients.

Requirements

Licensed or certified Paramedic.
Willingness to learn the organization’s processes and procedures.

Valid certifications that comply with applicable state laws.

Responsibilities

Help receive and discharge patients and review medical charts.
Help the surgeon carry out safe operations and provide optimal patient care.
Maintain equipment and organization of the surgical center.
Prepare patients for treatment, cultivate a welcoming environment, and obtain dental records.
Provide chair-side assistance and preoperative and postoperative care.
Prepare materials for impressions and take dental X-rays as directed by a dentist.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, and prepare instrument trays for procedures.
Educate patients on postoperative care and general oral health.
Handle substances in accordance with health and safety policies and comply with health, safety, and infection-control guidance.
Perform additional office duties as needed, including scheduling and receiving patients, ordering supplies, and managing records.
Perform additional duties as assigned in accordance with state regulations or licensing requirements.
