About The Position

Hillsdale Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for their Primary Care Clinic. This full-time position involves working at the clinic on Broad St. with hours from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Thursday. Additionally, the APP will work at the Hillsdale Health and Wellness Walk-In Clinic, which has weekday hours from 10 am to 6 pm, plus Saturdays. A rotation will be in place for Saturday work. Requirements

Master's degree required
Current Michigan Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

3 years' experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform annual wellness exams, pre-employment physicals, treat injuries and illnesses, and promote good health and disease prevention
Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy
Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays
Prescribe medication
Educate patients about prevention and self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances
Monitor patients’ conditions and maintain accurate, detailed and confidential reports and records
Create a comfortable, non-judgmental, compassionate environment for patients
