About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to support clinics within 50 miles of Clemson, South Carolina. The position offers 30–40 hours per week and is clinic-based, with in-person patient care as the priority. Providers may conduct virtual visits from the clinic during periods of lower onsite volume when doing so will not delay or interfere with in-person care. The role delivers affordable, accessible, comprehensive, high-quality care to patients, families, and communities. Providers practice with clinical and organizational support, evidence-based guidelines, assessment and treatment-planning tools, and a collaborative “one store, one team” approach. This position is available to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Associates who meet the applicable education, certification, licensure, and other qualifications. It includes patient care as well as routine clinic operations. The position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, subject to eligibility.

Requirements

For Nurse Practitioners: active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in good standing; current national board certification from AANP or ANCC; active, unrestricted state APRN license; and a master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
For Physician Associates: Master of Science in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies, or a health-related master’s degree plus a Bachelor of Science in PA Studies; current NCCPA certification; and an active, unrestricted state PA license or eligibility to obtain one upon hire.
Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ability to perform Basic Life Support.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain multistate licensure based on business needs.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
Nurse Practitioners: one year of NP experience is preferred; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Physician Associates: two years of prior PA experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, if the applicant has less than one year of provider experience; preferred but not required.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
Perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, and treatment of injuries and illnesses, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
Complete clinic operations, including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
Complete charting and follow-up during scheduled shifts, with no work taken home.
