About The Position
The Advanced Practice Provider – Cardiac Rescue & Recovery works with physicians, other Advanced Practice Providers, and healthcare professionals to evaluate patients and plan, implement, and follow up on care. The role provides direct patient care through clinical consultations, diagnostic evaluations, treatment management, patient education, and research activities. The provider specializes in cardiology, partnering with physicians to diagnose cardiovascular conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations; obtain and review medical records; order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies; diagnose medical conditions; and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Provide clinical consultation and support for invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures.
- Provide specialist expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing cardiovascular conditions.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice, including injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans and communicate changes in patients’ conditions to the care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient medical records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive cardiovascular care.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
