MUSC Health Kershaw Medical Center is a 121-bed community hospital serving Kershaw County and the surrounding Midlands region. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, emergency, and specialty services, delivering high-quality community-based care supported by the resources of South Carolina's leading academic health system. MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast is a 75-bed community hospital serving the rapidly growing Northeast Columbia and Richland County communities. The hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services and is recognized for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care close to home. Requirements
- Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- DEA and applicable state prescribing credentials prior to start date
- Family medicine or primary care experience preferred
- Passion for delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care
- Commitment to quality improvement, teamwork, and clinical excellence
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients across the lifespan
- Perform preventive health assessments, annual wellness visits, and chronic disease management
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Conduct comprehensive histories and physical examinations
- Order, interpret, and utilize laboratory and diagnostic testing to guide treatment plans
- Provide patient education focused on preventive care and healthy lifestyle management
- Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed
- Document and bill for direct patient care services
