Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA)
About The Position
Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections and is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for Centralia Correctional Center in Centralia, Illinois. The NP/PA works under the supervision of a physician in a correctional environment and assists with health care delivery and patient care management. The role includes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and managing medications. The position offers a clinically diverse patient population in a secure, structured setting, with time to spend with patients and no insurance, coding, or reimbursement hassles. Compensation is consistent and not based on patient volume. Providers are not required to sign employment contracts or non-compete agreements.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Illinois NP or PA license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- At least 2 years of experience working as an NP or PA.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.
