About The Position

Omnicare, a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities and other institutional care settings, is hiring an Advanced Pharmacy Technician for its closed-door pharmacy team. Omnicare pharmacies are not open to the public. The role supports medication fulfillment and regulatory compliance for patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings. The back-end team handles packaging and dispensing medications, checking delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. This position will be employed by Omnicare as an independent, standalone organization following its sale by CVS Health, and will not remain within CVS Health after the transaction.

The technician works across assigned pharmacy workstations and partners with a function supervisor to coordinate workflow. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• PTCB National Certification.
• Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the function supervisor to coordinate workflow in assigned areas that prepare and process medications.
• Rotate through assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
• Receive product deliveries, pull and stage products for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to support accurate shipments and timely deliveries.
• Perform physical inventories of medication.
• Help ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance are met for patients.
• Fulfill orders, including packaging and dispensing medications and reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
