About The Position

Design precision assembly and measurement processes for Apple products. Research and develop technologies to address complex assembly and automation problems that directly affect product quality and delivery. Design, implement, and successfully scale automated and semi-automated solutions using sound engineering principles and technologies developed for specific applications.

Requirements

• BSME or equivalent; an MSME is desired.
• At least 3 years in an engineering role, with experience in automation equipment used for component alignment, assembly, and/or measurement.
• Proven track record in cost reduction, project management, and engineering design.
• Working knowledge of GD&T principles.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing Operations and new product introduction experience.
• Experience with NX, SolidWorks CAD, or ProE.
• Knowledge of optics principles relating to CCD cameras, 2D and 1D lasers, and their use for positioning and critical alignment machines.
• Basic understanding of liquid adhesives, PSAs, and VHBs.
• Working knowledge of 6-axis and/or SCARA robotics, pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, PLCs, and PC-based control systems.
• JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma experience.
