About The Position

The Advanced EMT provides basic life support and selected advanced life support skills during pre-hospital and interfacility transport. Care is provided when indicated by a patient’s injury or illness and in accordance with state protocols and departmental guidelines.

Requirements

• Completion of an Advanced EMT course or equivalent.
• Current applicable state Advanced EMT license.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record, with no major violations as defined by company policy or insurer guidelines.
• Current BLS certification.
• Obtain Ambulance Vehicle Operators Certification (AVOC) within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
