About The Position
The Advanced EMT provides basic life support with select advanced life support skills during pre-hospital and interfacility transport. Care is provided when indicated by a patient's injury or illness and must follow state protocols and departmental guidelines. The role is based at MaineHealth Emergency Medical Services in Farmington, Maine, and follows a schedule of 24 hours on and 48 hours off.
Requirements
- Completion of an Advanced EMT course or equivalent.
- Current applicable state Advanced EMT license.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record with no major violations as defined by company policy or insurer guidelines.
- Current BLS certification.
- Obtain Ambulance Vehicle Operators Certification (AVOC) within six months of hire.

- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
