About The Position

AMR is hiring Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. AEMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, conditions, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights. They help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment, operate ambulances in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws, and work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. The role also includes participating in community programs to support AMR’s image and build strong community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Kansas EMT Certification or eligibility for Kansas certification.
• CPR certification.
• State driver’s license.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT).

Nice To Haves

• NREMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws applicable to emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
