Adult Sports Official (Part Time)
About The Position
Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor or Recreation Coordinator, performs various tasks as necessary to provide recreation services to the St. George Community. Officiates sport games for adults include one or more of the following: flag football, volleyball, basketball, pickleball, ultimate frisbee and futsal. Set up and take down all equipment during shifts. Writes injury reports for players that get injured during the course of a game. Writes ejection reports for any coach/player that gets ejected from a game. Assists in field preparation for each sport. Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- All applicants must be 18 years or older.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required. Must be obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
- Communicate effectively with coaches and players.
- Handle tense situations by communicating with coaches and players.
- Accurately write reports including descriptions of injuries and ejections.

Nice To Haves
- Prior officiating experience preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of rules and official mechanics in flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and baseball/softball preferred.
