About The Position

The City of Saratoga Springs currently has openings for Adult Sports Officials. These are part-time positions with the Saratoga Springs Recreation Department, averaging five to ten hours per week. This is a continuous recruitment, and applications will be reviewed when more employees are needed for a program. These positions are responsible for acting as the official at adult sports games or events. The Recreation Department aims to provide the successful applicant with opportunities for growth and progression within the department.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old or older
General sport knowledge gained by playing, officiating or coaching preferred
Training will be provided
Knowledge of the sport being officiated
Knowledge of the rules of the game being officiated
Ability to talk to adults/coaches
Ability to manage time
Ability to multi-task
Standing for at least four (4) hours
Walking, running, talking, hearing
Using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls
Reaching with hands and arms
Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 25 pounds
May be required to work in outside weather conditions, in wet and/or humid conditions
Pre-employment drug testing, proof of employment eligibility, and background check required
