About The Position

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with the department’s needs and the scope and standards of nursing practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other care-team members, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers and supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values to promote positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes. The role serves adult mental health patients in a supportive, therapeutic care environment. Pinewood Springs offers inpatient and outpatient services for individuals with mood, thought, and co-occurring disorders.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN).
Associate degree.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assess patient condition at admission and during scheduled or as-needed shifts, identifying and reporting changes in status.
Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
Document care administration promptly and thoroughly in the patient medical record.
Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and work proactively to resolve them.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver holistic treatment plans that promote recovery.
Coordinate continuity of care between healthcare providers and community support systems for specialized patient groups.
Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
