About The Position
Under the direction of the Director of College and Career Services, serves as an instructor in the area of adult literacy education. This is an adjunct/part-time instructor position to teach face-to-face classes during the day to help adult students learn subject matter or employment skills to lead to their potential intellectual and psychological growth. Provisions should be made, if known, for students with identified exceptionalities.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in specialized training or experience in developmental disability instruction
- Experience teaching adult learners
- Basic computer skills

Responsibilities
- Teach assigned day classes
- Provide lessons using a variety of instructional strategies aligned with the NC Adult Education Content Standards
- Maintain and submit accurate attendance
- Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner
