About The Position
The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes. Advocate Medical Group Adolescent Medicine Clinics, located in Evergreen Park and Aurora, provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for adolescents and young adults. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to supporting the unique physical, emotional, and developmental needs of teens through compassionate, evidence-based care in a welcoming and confidential environment. We offer a wide range of services, including reproductive and sexual health care, mental health support, nutrition and weight management counseling. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Experience RN with Peds experience highly preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
