About The Position

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking an Admissions Services Program Manager to join the Department of Admissions. This role involves overseeing front-facing operations, leading strategic initiatives, planning large-scale campus visit days, and developing staff and student workers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Higher Education experience is required.
  • Recruitment/admissions experience is required.
  • Event planning experience is required.
  • Completion of an Authorization to Release Information and provision of contact information for previous institutions for misconduct history check.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience in student affairs is highly desired.
  • Experience in public presentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee front-facing operations for the Office of Admissions.
  • Lead strategic guiding of the team.
  • Develop and plan large scale campus visit days for prospective students.
  • Develop and train staff and student workers.
  • Manage Admissions Operations, including supervision of student-led services involving inbound communications, triage/problem-solving, and visitation activities.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and manage all non-tour guide student employees.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental and university policies and procedures related to student employment and human resources.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Admissions welcome center.
  • Plan, develop, lead, execute, and evaluate large-scale visit day programs for prospective students.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with academic colleges and faculty to support student recruitment efforts.
  • Supervise, develop, and evaluate two professional staff Admissions Counselors.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Establish clear performance goals, monitor progress, and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and engagement.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Assist with overall recruitment strategy by supporting in-state and out-of-state recruitment efforts.
  • Meet with prospective students and their parents to discuss admission procedures and University policies.
  • Liaise with State and local partners for development opportunities.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and evolve new admissions processes/practices using the Slate CRM.
  • Utilize Slate reporting and communication tools to impact enrollment outcomes.
  • Create presentations for the public and promote the University in a variety of formats.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
