About The Position
The Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for our Admissions Department to join our team. Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, located near beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC, treats adolescents, adults and senior adults in need of psychiatric services, as well as adults who suffer from a chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or are in need of rehabilitation. Lighthouse offers 24-hour admissions, needs assessment, and referral services.
Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in State of South Carolina (or eligible to receive or renew-Compact)
- Current CPR or BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Preferred 1-3 year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting
- CPI Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and contraband searches before patient is transferred to their designated unit.
- Communicate Nursing hand off information to the Nursing department.
- Assist during down time with making referrals to in house physicians to assess qualification for admission.
- Provide as a resource to handle overflow intake referrals to ensure loss of referrals is minimized.
- Monitor Intake flow via Dashboard.
