About The Position

The Admissions Manager is responsible for coordinating an effective, efficient admission/intake process for all patients. As an Admissions Manager, you will act as the first point of contact for admission representatives and receptionists by providing guidance and overall support for daily workflow. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development (DBD), you will manage day-to-day admission operations while adhering to best practices and maintaining company core values.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years experience in rehabilitation or closely related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with insurance products, payors, and pre-authorization
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements
  • Clinical knowledge in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate effective, efficient admission/intake process for all patients.
  • Act as first point of contact for admission representatives and receptionists by providing guidance and overall support for daily workflow.
  • Manage day-to-day admission operations in collaboration with the Director of Business Development (DBD), adhering to best practices and maintaining company core values.
  • Assist in leading daily census and hospital metrics in team meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local insurance payers, maintaining current/up-to-date knowledge of payer contracts and preferences.
  • Assist Director of Business Development with admission audits and pull data correctly for team education.
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks related to admissions, billing, and authorization submission.
  • Provide training for new hires in collaboration with the Director of Business Development.
