About The Position

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is opening in February 2025 at Woodstork and Temple Terrace. The new hospital will have 60 private patient rooms and two rehabilitation therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology. The Admissions Manager coordinates an effective and efficient admission and intake process for all patients. The manager is the first point of contact for admission representatives and the receptionist, providing guidance and support for daily workflow. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development (DBD), the Admissions Manager oversees day-to-day admission operations while following best practices and the company’s core values. The position is on-site. Pay is based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree.
Two years of experience in rehabilitation or a closely related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Detail-oriented and able to meet strict time frames.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with insurance products, payers, and pre-authorization.
Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements.
Clinical knowledge in an acute-care setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in leading daily census and hospital-metrics discussions during team meetings.
Build and maintain relationships with local insurance payers and keep current knowledge of payer contracts and preferences.
Assist the Director of Business Development with admission audits and accurately pull data for team education.
Assist with day-to-day admissions, billing, and authorization-submission tasks.
Train new hires in collaboration with the Director of Business Development.
Provide guidance and overall support for admission representatives and the receptionist in their daily workflow.
Coordinate the effective and efficient admission and intake process for patients and manage day-to-day admission operations in collaboration with the Director of Business Development.
