About The Position

The Department of Admissions and Recruitment in the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is seeking a part-time Admissions Screener. The role works closely with the CMS Admissions Counselor to provide administrative assistance with screening AMCAS medical school applications. The screener reviews application files and records notes for further action by the admissions chair or committee. This is a temporary position lasting up to six months and is not eligible for regular employee benefits. RFU employees may accrue personal leave in accordance with Illinois law and may make unmatched contributions to voluntary supplemental pre-tax and post-tax retirement plans.

Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, the screener conducts application reviews, assists with application processing, and helps create reports to support the admissions process. Application review includes assessing graduate education, personal statements, medically related experiences, leadership and humanitarian activities, letters of recommendation, and course credit and required coursework using the CMS Primary Screener Evaluation form.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work accurately and independently.
• Must achieve background check clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
• 1–2 years of experience in admissions and recruitment in an academic environment.

Responsibilities
