About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join the Indiana University Health Medical Group’s leadership team in the role of Administrator – Practice Operations and Strategy. This role will assist with future academic and clinical programming and design with facility leaders, coordinate practice and provider acquisitions and integration activities, and be accountable for operational strategy related to outpatient staffing models, between-visit patient care, defining clinical expectations, and implementing best practices in single-specialty clinics. The Administrator will support the Chief Practice Officer (CPO) in implementing annual operating goals, particularly in outpatient clinic optimization/utilization, and will be responsible for workforce planning oversight. They will collaborate with practice operations and the ambulatory nursing team to develop and implement consistent staffing models in outpatient clinics, assist with the coordination of implementing the statewide unified medical group, and develop robust strategies to drive growth and operations. This position ensures the IU Health Indy Metro portfolio delivers the best possible patient and team member experience through quality, accessibility, and great patient care. The Administrator will collaborate with executives, senior leadership, and front-line team members to execute organizational development strategy and drive change initiatives across the portfolio to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable clinical specialty, Finance, Business Management or Health Administration is required.
  • 10+ Yrs healthcare plus 8+ years physician practice with Finance, Ops and Admin.
  • Advanced knowledge of physician compensation plan is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the AAHC future academic and clinical programming and design with facility leaders.
  • Coordinate practice and provider acquisitions and integration activities.
  • Accountable for operational strategy as it relates to outpatient staffing models, between visit patient care, defining clinical expectations, and implementation of best practices in all single-specialty clinics.
  • Support the CPO on the implementation of annual operating goals particularly in the areas of outpatient clinic optimization/utilization.
  • Responsible for oversight of workforce planning.
  • Work with practice operations and the ambulatory nursing team to develop and implement appropriate and consistent staffing models in the outpatient clinics.
  • Assist with coordination in implementing the statewide unified medical group.
  • Responsible for developing robust strategies and driving growth and operations.
  • Ensure IU Health Indy Metro portfolio delivers the best possible patient and team member experience through quality, accessibility and great patient care.
  • Collaborate with executives and senior leadership and front-line team members, execute organizational development strategy, and motivate change initiatives across the portfolio to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives.
