About The Position

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an entry-level inventory and planning specialist to join its Production Control team in Lawrence. The role supports inventory management and planning through transactional and physical work, and manages, kits, and packages intercompany material purchase orders for international shipment. The role requires access to technology, materials, software, or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws. Candidates must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protected-individual status under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3). The position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Travel is 0%–25%.

Requirements

• Entry-level knowledge of planning, scheduling, production control, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protected-individual status as defined in 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Ability to collect and analyze data to help drive process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage, kit, and package intercompany material purchase orders for international shipment.
• Provide transactional and physical support for the team’s daily inventory management and planning functions.
• Collect and stage material according to company procedures.
