Requirements

  • Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to review applications/documents in accordance with statutes, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access (or similar software).
  • Experience with phone and in-person customer service, especially regarding the status of applications and required documentation.
  • Ability to organize, track, update, and file records in both electronic and manual formats.
  • Experience handling confidential documents in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Valid drivers license

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and processing applications related to licensure and certification.
  • Ensuring all documents, including transcripts and examination scores, are accurate and complete for initial licensure and renewals.
  • Issuing, renewing, auditing, reinstating, and inactivating licenses while following established procedures.
  • Assisting with preparation for board meetings by compiling applications that need Board review and added to the agenda materials and preparing rooms if needed.
  • Entering and updating licensing and renewal data into the online web browser My License Office (MLO).
  • Communicating with licensees, applicants, and the public regarding licensing requirements, statutes, and regulations.
  • Handling routine phone calls, correspondence, and maintaining organized files.
  • Operating copiers, fax machines, and other office equipment as needed.
