About The Position

LAC Federal is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to provide mailroom, filing, courier, and records distribution support for IRC operations.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a professional office environment as a support assistant or receptionist, or equivalent position
  • Experience handling phone calls, emails, and mail, serving as the point of contact for internal and external communication
  • Experience collecting, sorting, and distributing incoming mail
  • Ability to maintain records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information
  • Ability to ensure appropriate mailing and/or shipping of packages, letters, etc.
  • Experience managing calendars, scheduling meetings, appointments, and greeting high-level guests
  • Experience creating and distributing correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Experience providing general office support like various administrative tasks, data entry, filing, and customer service
  • Experience with upkeep and setting up of all conference and training rooms
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to manage the receptionist area
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with various individuals
  • Proficiency in office software and equipment
  • Physical ability to move large number of files and/or file boxes
  • High School diploma required, higher education preferred
  • Proficient in the use of commercial software packages and databases, such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Possess the ability to respond flexibly and to provide rapid assistance in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Possess strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Must be a U. S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and retain a “SECRET” security clearance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout office, mailroom, storage, and conference room areas for extended periods while performing mail distribution, courier support, filing, and administrative duties.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, transport, sort, and organize mail trays, packages, files, records, office supplies, and file boxes weighing up to 25–35 pounds as part of daily operational and records support activities.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer systems, including copiers, scanners, postage equipment, phones, and Microsoft Office applications, while responding quickly to time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Experience supporting DOS or civilian agencies preferred
