About The Position

We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to support the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia (USAO NDGA) in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will help the Law Enforcement Coordination Committee (LECC) Program carry out its mission by supporting the coordination, communication, and administrative work behind law enforcement outreach and public safety initiatives. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to make responsible decisions on short notice and adapt to unexpected developments
  • Excellent ability to prioritize task requests and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work and interact professionally and effectively with all levels of staff
  • Ability to meet and deal with people in a courteous and tactful manner
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Physically located within the general geographic commuting radius of the USAO office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Demonstrated experience performing administrative, clerical, program support, or coordination duties similar to those described
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • U.S. citizenship is required as it supports the U.S. federal government
  • Must be able to obtain favorable adjudication for the required background investigation

Responsibilities

  • Support the LECC Manager with assigned administrative, clerical, and program coordination tasks
  • Maintain Outlook contact cards and distribution lists for law enforcement coordination needs
  • Update contact records used to communicate officer and public safety information
  • Enter and track data related to meetings, trainings, events, contacts, and program activities
  • Maintain program records, correspondence, and project documentation under federal guidelines
  • Review documents for format, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and grammar
  • Send prepared announcements, emails, calendar invites, and other program information
  • Support meeting, training, and special event planning, setup, registration, and closeout
  • Coordinate printing, supplies, site setup, attendance records, and event support materials
  • Prepare documentation for POST and Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police credit requests
  • Produce written documents and materials using Microsoft Office and related software
  • Enter information into databases and monitor records for continued program need
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion, confidentiality, and required approvals
  • Track LECC memberships, dues, and outside organization standing
  • Arrange staff travel, conference registration, visitor approvals, and travel vouchers
  • Support office automation tasks that combine output from multiple software tools
  • Assist the LECC Manager with urgent program needs, special events, and vetting checks
  • Provide information to law enforcement agencies as directed by the LECC Manager
  • Maintain storage room inventory, supplies, filing, mailing, and related office support tasks
