About The Position

Real Property Asset Management (RPAM) provides professional management for all Region of Peel owned and leased properties. This includes real property planning, acquisition, design, maintenance, life cycle renewal, disposal and emergency response. Reporting to the Supervisor of Print, Distribution and Occupant Services, in this role you will provide efficient and timely mail service to Regional facilities, in a high volume, fast-paced environment, which involves the screening, sorting, routing, preparing, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.

Requirements

  • High School diploma combined with one year job related experience, or a combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Ability to lift and move large packages and/or boxes up to 40 lbs
  • Possess a valid “G” license in good standing, may require the use of a personal vehicle
  • Solid computer skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Regional roads and ability to read maps

  • Previous experience in high volume mail delivery would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Daily sort and delivery of all incoming/outgoing Canada Post and interoffice mail collected from 70 satellite offices as well as 10 Peel Centre Drive, Suite A & B and Print Shop
  • Process outgoing Canada Post mail, operating mail room equipment including envelope inserter and postage meter, supporting production print shop
  • Order and maintain an inventory of Xpress Post envelopes
  • Process Registered Mail by preparing letter receipt and necessary documentation for client; as well as franking/stamping
  • Daily retrieval of drop box contents (Suite A & Human Services ERC) ensuring the contents are immediately delivered to Human Services for distribution
  • Monitor postage meter to ensure funds are available; prepare cheque request to replenish funds when required
  • Prepare summary of journal entries for mail services by user departments
  • Order office supplies (using P-card) for Mailroom and Print Shop
  • Communicate with departments regarding inserting jobs; scheduled and executed requests
  • Update procedures as required
  • Respond to all mail related inquiries
  • Schedule maintenance and service calls for mail room equipment.
  • Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs of mailroom equipment
  • Renew Canada Post PO boxes on behalf of the Corporation
  • Provide back-up coverage for Regional Courier during absences
