About The Position

The Administration Supervisor is responsible for providing administrative oversight for the Drummondville, Quebec City and Longueil terminals. The primary goal is to ensure the administrative process is adhered to and making changes to benefit the operations as necessary.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education, preferably in business or office administration
  • A suitable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • 3-5 years experience in administration preferably in the transportation industry
  • 1-3 years of leadership/supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate a team in a high pressure, deadline driving environment
  • Strong communication skills, most verbal; some written
  • Computer skills – data entry accuracy; strong knowledge of MS Office products and web-based programs; knowledge and/or experience with AS400, Truck Mate and Sales Force a strong asset.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Able to work deadlines in high transactional environment
  • Ability to champion business needs in a collaborative manner to colleagues
  • Results focused
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the administrative team is performing daily tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Delegate responsibilities and set priorities for administrative staff.
  • Lead, motivate, and evaluate the performance of administrative staff, including training, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive work environment, ensuring team collaboration and support.
  • Act as a liaison between management and other departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient in operations.
  • Organize and manage internal and external communications, such as emails, Salesforce
  • Identify areas of inefficiency or challenges within the administrative processes and work to improve.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that arise within the administrative team or across departments, finding effective solutions promptly.
  • Other related duties as may be required
