About The Position

Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate House Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight during overnight hours. This role coordinates daily operations with the leadership team to ensure the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care for assigned ministries. The position involves assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff during the assigned shift, contributing to performance evaluations, and serving as a resource to the staff. The House Supervisor also manages patient flow, provides support and coordination for patient emergencies, and opens and leads incident command for internal or external disasters until relieved. They evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues affecting patient outcomes, and respond to complaints about patient care, managing them through established channels. Input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff may also be provided. The role requires working in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • Two years' registered nurse experience, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility

Responsibilities
