About The Position

Contractor shall provide administrative services support associated with the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Pacific Northwest Site Office. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of relevant Administrative Support.
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge in using basic office equipment, including a fax, a copier, a scanner, and a shredder
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Critical Thinking – Evaluate and interpret data, facts, and information to create unique and creative solutions and proposals.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Able to communicate effectively with different people in varying fields and positions.
  • Teamwork – Work collaboratively not only with members of the Aleut Team but with outside clients, customers, and contractors.
  • Organizational Proficiency – Plan, prioritize, and achieve goals to maximize the impact of the role of senior contract specialist.

  • Experience in supporting a team of Executive Leadership is preferred.
  • Requires knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite and other Office of Science and DOE information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and accessible electronic and hardcopy files.
  • Answering telephones and taking telephone messages.
  • Scheduling and supporting meetings/video conferencing.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Process incoming actions and correspondence received by email, mail, or in person.
  • Prepare and prepare emails, letters, and memorandums.
  • Scanning of correspondence and maintenance of records.
  • SharePoint use, entry, uploads, etc. (scanned materials, actions, edits, etc.).
  • Support basic inventory and logistics efforts as time allows.
