About The Position

This position provides assistance and support to the Traffic Safety Unit to manage all personnel related items (personnel actions, FMLA, performance management, postings, applications, service awards, etc.) and administrative support items (fixed assets, meeting scheduling and support, travel arrangements, etc.). This position serves as the Unit coordinator for training and SAP (BSIP). This position also provides support to the Unit for budget items (payroll, expenses, purchases, excess travel authorizations, etc.), programs (traffic ordinances, traffic counts, Surface Transportation Assistance Act, etc.), and other items as needed. The individual in this position must independently develop and compose a variety of activity reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence that may involve technical terminology. Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Considerable knowledge of standard departmental and unit applications such as Word, Excel, SAP, Outlook, Power Point, Access, Workday, etc.
  • Human Resources experience
  • Fixed asset management experience using SAP
  • Experience creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Customer service experience

Responsibilities
