About The Position

The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and medical records support for the Nursing Department in Cluster One. This role balances daily record-keeping and budget monitoring with the flexibility to support other clusters as needed in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly. O’Berry Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is a specialized skilled nursing facility focused on maintaining the quality of life and dignity for adults with neurocognitive disorders, with coexisting complex medical and behavioral needs, whose level of support extends beyond what can be provided by family or in a community living setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of office equipment to include but not limited to computers, printers, fax machine, adding machine, multi-line telephone, overhead paging system and a copier.

Nice To Haves

  • Considerable knowledge of services, policies and procedures related to a program or area of specialization.
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply this knowledge in performance of administrative tasks; ability to explain and interpret information to clients/customers and staff.
  • Prior experience with purchasing /procurement, maintaining budgets and tracking expenses.
  • Experience or training in Medical Office Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit medical charts and records for approximately 48 residents within Cluster One.
  • Monitor, review, and reconcile the cluster's financial budget.
  • Perform daily backup administrative duties in any cluster across the facility as needed.
  • Help coordinate and support various department activities and special events.
