About The Position

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an organized self-starter with excellent administrative, written, and verbal communication skills, who is attentive to detail, customer service-oriented, and self-motivated to perform in a fast-paced environment. This role provides high-level technical advice, analysis expertise, and coordination to the Trial Court Administrator, Assignment Judge, Division Managers, and other vicinage staff on projects, initiatives, programs, and implementation processes. This position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work per week as part of a hybrid schedule, requiring high-speed home internet access and multifactor authentication.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience, two of which shall be in purchasing, accounts payable, facilities management, operations management, records retention, transcript services, jury management, statistical reporting, investigations and/or library administration.
  • Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience.
  • A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of experience.
  • Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service.
  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
  • Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
  • Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
  • All persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate work in the Trial Court Administrator’s office
  • Compile and analyze statistical data
  • Research court rules in relation to the implementation of new procedures
  • Design and edit TCA SharePoint site
  • Develop and implement public access, media and communication plans
  • Formulate plans with judges, case management divisions, Operations and Central Office
  • Communicate with Sheriff and Counsel's Office concerning media requests
  • Prepare specialized media release forms and draft informational press releases in conjunction with judges and Counsel's Office
  • Develop and implement vicinage projects and coordinate event planning
  • Develop internal publications, court resource guides and informational fliers
  • Coordinate with the central office, vicinage, Sheriff, Bar Association, and other local officials regarding operational procedures.

Benefits

  • Salary range for this position is $81,866.60 to $127,586.80 for Schedule A, and $81,866.60 to $121,207.46 for Schedule B.
  • For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.
