In the County Clerk's Office, typical duties and responsibilities may include: accepting receipts, fees and payments from customers; issuing receipts and entering transactions and supporting data into the cash register; distributing and reviewing assignments of subordinates; maintaining statistics relative to work received and completed; entering court orders, judgments and proceedings into the Court Case Management System and other duties as assigned. In the Office of the Sheriff, the Administrative Specialist 2 performs cashier duties such as handling money, assisting customers, reconciling registers and preparing deposits; reviewing documents from customers for accuracy and completeness; notarizing Sheriff's Deeds and proofs of service; assisting with preparing the auction, as well as other general clerical duties as assigned.
