The Middlesex Vicinage Human Resources Division is seeking a professional, team-oriented, self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, committed to providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers, who works well in an environment where there are multiple simultaneous deadlines. Under the supervision of the Court Executive 2B (Human Resources Division Manager or other supervisory personnel), the candidate may be responsible for acting as a Human Resources liaison to managers, supervisors, and employees.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Applicants who are approaching their anticipated graduation date may apply. If selected, the applicant must complete their degree no later than their start date.
  • Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service. (See https://naces.org/members/ )
  • US citizenship is not required.
  • Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
  • Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
  • In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources support for unit.
  • Draft correspondence, reports or proposals.
  • Review employee records.
  • Verify entered data against source documents.
  • Manage and ensure integrity of the organization's employee database.
  • Inputs data into PMIS, JHRIS, Neogov, eCATS ,and any other human resource related data systems as required.
  • Provide technical human resource assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees in the area of recruitment and selection.
  • Establish working relationships with state agencies and other outside organizations.
  • Facilitate information sessions on human resources related topics.
  • Serve on Vicinage event committees or working groups.
  • Participate and assist in team or work unit meetings and special events and projects.
  • Adheres to rules and ensures compliance with administrative directives and human resources policies as they apply to State and Federal laws.
  • Prepare and digitize Human Resources records, ensuring accuracy and proper organization across paper and electronic files.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
