About The Position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for an Administrative Operations Coordinator to join our Operating Room within our Surgical Services Team! This position is responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations of the Surgical Services unit, which includes staff assignment, oversight, and patient care. The Surgical Services Operations Coordinator is assigned to provide and/or coordinate clinical and non-clinical staff with appropriate education and training. This position works primarily with surgical services units but may provide training and education assistance or oversight to other departments and programs, as assigned by the Director.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Three (3) years medical office/clinic experience
  • All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to start of employment.

  • Thorough understanding of current systems: timekeeping, EMR, Microsoft, etc.
  • Associates degree in healthcare related field and one (1) year of management experience in any area healthcare related
  • Six (6) years experience in a healthcare clinic or administrative support including any combination of the following: medical office coordination, medical records management, clinic coding, accounts receivable, billing, and/or collections
