About The Position

The Pennsylvania Treasury is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Officer I to support the Deputy State Treasurer for Fiscal Operations & Policy, the Office of Policy, and the Office of Legislative Affairs. This role plays a critical part in supporting multiple bureaus and influencing the success of key programs statewide. The Pennsylvania Treasury Department is an independent agency led by the elected State Treasurer and one of the largest state treasuries in the country, serving as custodian of more than $150 billion. Treasury plays a critical role in state government operations, acting as the custodian, investor, and disburser of funds for nearly all state agencies. Treasury also offers a wide range of programs and services to Pennsylvania families, including the PA 529 College and Career Savings Program; the PA ABLE Savings Program for people with disabilities; and our work to return more than $4 billion of Unclaimed Property to its rightful owners.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Experience using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, web-based utilities or the ability to learn relevant software to perform job duties
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on assignments
  • Ability to perform essential job functions

  • Experience performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, file maintenance, or record-keeping

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange logistics
  • Prepare and proofread documents, manage spreadsheets and reports, and maintain both digital and physical filing systems
  • Handle all arrangements for staff travel registrations, transportation, and lodging; process travel expense vouchers and out service training requests
  • Support procurement requisitions, policy tracking, and budget book preparation tasks while maintaining key master spreadsheets
  • Utilize strong communication and relationship-building skills while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure positive and professional interactions
