About The Position

The Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Administration (OA), Bureau of Administrative Services (BAS), Division of Emergency Planning and Response (DEPR) is eager to welcome an Administrative Officer 3 to the team. This position is responsible for serving as the Immediate Human Services Needs Coordinator, responsible for the planning and implantation of programs and services to address the basic human needs for communities affected by complex environmental or humanitarian crisis. Requirements

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Immediate Human Services Needs Coordinator, responsible for the planning and implantation of programs and services to address the basic human needs for communities affected by complex environmental or humanitarian crisis.
  • Develop plans, policies, and guidance for statewide human services operations.
  • Coordinate assessments of state readiness and align priorities with federal human services goals.
  • Support the integration of emergency behavioral health into statewide response plans.
  • Work with mental health providers to ensure services remain available during emergencies.
  • Collaborate with agencies and community partners to support a whole community disaster response.
