Requirements

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Six months of experience working in a fast-paced high volume environment.
  • One year of experience leading technical projects or program management evaluations, preparing fiscal reports including tracking annual budgets and expenses, human resource management, and technology coordination.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update procedures for HR, budgeting, procurement, training and safety activities
  • Advise leadership on staffing needs, structure and workforce planning across the museum
  • Prepare reconciliations, projections and financial reports for museum programs and operations
  • Support gift shop, bookstore, membership and event operations by reviewing goals and processes
  • Coordinate IT needs, software updates and point-of-sale system improvements
  • Manage grants, special projects and communication with internal and external stakeholders
