About The Position

Become a key contributor to the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation as an Administrative Officer 2 – Procurement, with the Bureau of Central Operation in the Budget, Grant and Administrative Services Division. This position gives you the opportunity to lead important contracting efforts that support vital statewide services. You will collaborate with teams to enhance programs that benefit customers and employees. Your leadership will help shape effective solutions for communities across Pennsylvania. This position supervises staff and manages processes that support contracts and grants used to meet customer and employee needs across many job titles. It also involves collaboration, policy development, research, and guidance for statewide initiatives. As an Administrative Officer 2 - Procurement, you will perform the following duties: Staff Leadership: Guide administrative officers in building and adjusting procurement contracts Agreement Development: Create specialized agreements that support service access across the Commonwealth Policy Analysis: Examine and update procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws Training Support: Provide instruction and assistance to district offices, providers, customers, and advocates Program Collaboration: Work with procurement and budget teams to secure funding and establish agreements Contract Oversight: Maintain accurate information for renewals, extensions, and purchasing actions

Requirements

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
