About The Position

This is an internship opportunity for an Administrative Maintenance Intern within Department 6336, working the 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The intern will report to Tom Anderson. Key responsibilities include updating the Lock Out/Tag Out (LO/TO) program by taking photos of machines, adding relevant information, and printing/laminating procedures for each machine. The role also involves following quality procedures for document control and indexing, reviewing LO/TO procedure guides for accuracy and readability, and maintaining document confidentiality. The intern will assist with physical filing and storage of original documents and provide general administrative support. Adherence to safe working habits, safety policies, procedures, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA’s) is required. The intern will also contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality using ISO 9001:2008 Systems and perform any other duties assigned by the Team Leader. Requirements

  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage workload, complete tasks, and communicate effectively in the absence of direct supervision.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good technical skills including intermediate math skills and a high attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to work within a Team environment to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire for self-improvement through education and training.
  • Qualified applicant must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Update LO/TO program through maintenance and safety; taking photos of each machine, add all applicable information into the lock out and tag out procedure program, print and laminate to add to each machine.
  • Follow quality procedures for document control and document indexing.
  • Review all tabs with the LO/TO procedure guide to ensure readability, correct critical information, and consistent accuracy of information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all documents to the appropriate authority.
  • Assist with the physical filing and storage of original documents when necessary.
  • Provide administrative support where needed.
  • Practice safe working habits & follow safety policies, procedures, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s).
  • Focus efforts to work towards continuous improvement of product quality using our ISO 9001:2008 Systems.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Team Leader.
