About The Position

This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, applicants and clients of the Ouachita Parish Child Welfare office. The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is working to keep children safe, helping individuals and families become self-sufficient, and providing safe refuge during disasters. Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical support to the Child Welfare parish office.
  • Assist with administrative and receptionist duties when needed or as assigned.
  • Schedule fingerprints and perform printing for all perspective foster parents, care givers, and facility employees.
  • Performs duties related to purchasing of office supplies.
  • Keep record of all office equipment and prepare reports of items needing to be surplus.
  • Organize and maintain file room and files in accordance with established procedure and records retention policy.
  • May serve as timekeeper.
