About The Position

NORTHEAST DELTA HUMAN SERVICES AUTHORITY MISSION: Serve as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders to help them realize their full human potential by offering quality, excellent care with greater accessibility. Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking an Administrative Coordinator 3-4 to work as part of a treatment team to provide quality care and reduce the stigma related to receiving Behavioral Health Services and/or treatment. This role independently performs duties requiring a broad knowledge of several clerical fields to relieve the Clinic Manager/Coordinator of routine administrative duties. The incumbent will also assist the Monroe Integrated Care Clinic. Requirements

  • Two years of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Establish fees for new consumers according to agency guidelines.
  • Enter information related to income, benefits, and dependents into Claimtrak.
  • Provides consumers with information related to insurance benefit out-of-pocket cost.
  • Reassess and update fees when necessary and obtain information and proof/verification to update the chart.
  • Maintain necessary forms for the establishment of fees as needed.
  • Updates fee information as needed//required following agency guidelines.
  • Verifies and documents Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance coverages.
  • Scans copies of insurance cards into Claimtrak.
  • Accepts payments from consumers and provides them with receipts.
  • Makes daily deposits and submit the Daily Check/Cash Log according to agency guidelines.
  • Independently compose letters/emails to answer routine correspondence--screen mail and telephone calls, disseminating to appropriate staff.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and complete phone calls related to upcoming appointments.
  • Assist consumers with completing the Medicaid application process.
  • Acts as clinic safety officer.

  • NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.
  • 2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000 for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians. (Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
